:uhoh: I just downloaded some new maps and, they said to check them next time i play, but i tried, and they are not on the list of maps you can choose from when setting up a multiplayer game. Any way I can get them to appear on that list? Also, what's with the { missing in info file i keep receiving? Thanks in advance

I have the same problem, (maps not showing up). I think it is because you have too many maps. I'm not sure how to extend the amount it shows.:(

I think that those maps comes without (or with a faulty) ARENA file...

You can try create your own ARENA-files to correct this problem.

The "{ missing in fo file" error is probably caused by mods who have BOTS enabled (like Man Down and Goldrush). Dunno how to fix that (i tried a lot, but nothing worked) but the bots work OK :uhoh:

I've had the same problem, too. I found removing some maps apparently freed up space on the list so the new map would show up. Its too bad the list won't show all the maps you have regardless of how many you have installed (assuming of course they have correct arena files as GODh said). Would that sort of thing correctable with a mod? If so, that would be a truly great thing.

I've just been using the game's menu since we play on a LAN. Actually I discovered swapping some files from the base dir to the base/mp dir made them appear in the list, but eventually as I add more maps, maps that did appear drop from the list. I assume the list has limited capacity for some reason and as more maps are added they may or may not appear and if they do, some other map gets bumped from the list.

Is there a shortcut in the console to show all the maps you have, and to load them? And how do you make a custom Areana thingy?

I don't think there is a console command for a map list. The way I would do it is open up the pk3 you want in winzip, look for the name of the .bsp, then type in your console

map "mapname"

Where mapname is the name of the map, without quotes. But I never host games coz i'm on 56k :(
