Alright now... PB INIT FAILURE... it's the absoloute most retarded thing I've ever seen. Yes, I have updated my PunkBuster to the latest version and yes, I have tried reinstalling my SoF2 and updating to GOLD Patch. But I always get it. Soon as I kill someone... POW... you're outta there. Used PBWEB, a program provided by PunkBuster, to use to update all you PB Files and such, but still, gettin' the error. Now, their site also says it could occur when playing behind a router. Bu there's the thing... other computers behind the router can play and kill just fine. But, nooooo... this one still screws on me, it's a beautiful thing ain't it? But anyway, I need help on fixing this thing, and if I don't get to pop someone soon on this game, I swear I'ma freak. I'm also still experiencing the no-servers showing up on my player list unless I use the All-Seeing Eye, and on my other PC's, those things work too. I'm thinkin' about formatting my PC and startin' fresh, but man it just takes too long...

Alright I think I might know why I'm gettin' this PB INIT FAILURE... but I'm not sure. When I get into a server, when it shows what version you are running of PuinkBuster up on the top left it says 1.041 not 1.044 like I updated it to. So, I did update it but it never says it after I get into a server? Could this be a problem? Or is it normal?

Hey I tried this, and it sorted the PB INIT FAILURE error, but then it throws up a new error:

General PB Client Authentication Error - Reinstall PB if the problem persists.

Anybody got any ideas?

I had the same issue a few days ago, and have since resolved it by; 1) updated my linksys router firmware to version 1.44.2 2) removed the current nvidia graphics driver, reverting back to version 45.23 3) updated PB via the PBWEB.exe mentioned previously.. So far so good, havent seen the error since..
