Whenever I get on a server I usually will get an error message. Usually I get one about cl screenshot gl pointer or something like that. And then if I'm lucky enough the game will freeze and a Windows XP thing offering to send an error report comes up. I've installed SOF2 a couple of times but I try not to do it much cause usually my install will mess up from bad CDs. And if you're wondering all my files are good under 1.03 using Wiser2 program.
This a new computer made by me and here are its specs. DFI LanParty NF II AMD Athlon XP 2500+ Barton (For some reason my board defaults it to run at 1900+, so I'll have to change it through the bios) Best Data GeForceFX 5200 128mb video card 512 mb of Patriot DDR RAM 120 GB Maxtor harddrive and an offbrand CDROM Windows XP Home Edition If you need any other specs just ask.
i dont know what error you'r talking about, but if it is CG_SetInitialSnapshot invalid g2 pointer for client try enabling downloads. if not, maybe write it down completely for us.
it defaults at 1900+ because it will set the FSB as low as possible when u first install it.
ya i sometimes get that error to, and ALSO when i enter a server i get an internal error , any1 help ??
I know it defaults at 1900 but what should I raise the FBS to if i'm using a MAD 2500+.
Also, how do I enable downloads?
theres an option in network settings tab (in the game menu tabs up top, where it shows what character you use.) its in where rate and fps are
Ok the pointer snapshot thing is gone now but I still get the thing in the atachment. Also, sometimes when I play a blue screen comes up and talks about hardware or software maynot be installed properly or need updated drivers.
Also, now when I refresh the server list the game closes down and this happens "Sys_SendPacket: bad address type"
forgot to ask, you tried single player already right? and maybe try and search the Raven forums too, never know, might find something? i saw lots of sof2mp.exe errors, someone might have the right answer for ya. but i saw no answers for the sys_send packet error.
