You shouldnt need to specify a port number, but i think the default is port 20100.

Your friend could try to connect directly to your server by typing this in the console:

connect xxx.xxx.xx.x:20100

or just....

connect xxx.xxx.xx.x

Replace the X's with your ip address. :type:

are you useing runner? If so make sure the ip slot on the main tab is blank delete it if threre is an Ip , if you leave it blank it will broadcast on everything it finds and not just your local IP, also make sure the setting on the MISC tab is set to internet and not lan. are you behind a router or a hub? if your on a lan and the internet connection comes in threw another computer then to yours, no good run the server from the pc that the internet is direct into. If your internet connection is pluged into a hub and other pc's connect threw that hub then try going direct to the pc you want to run the server on.
