I have an out of the box version of SOF2. When I play the game, it slows incredibly down, and is real choppy. I have installed the 1.01 and 1.02 patches. I am running the game on windows 98 with 512 ram of memory and an intel pentium III 933 processor chip, and an Nvidia Geoforce MX420 video card, with the new 41.90 drivers from Nvidia. I have completely uninstalled the game, including reg edits. And then I reinstalled the game and am playing in with all the defaults that were set upon install. Please advise if there is more I can do to make my game play more smoothly. The video itself is great. The game just plays choppy (i.e. starting and stopping) Please advise, over.

Check your video and grafix settings, if thay have been set to high for the grafix card you are using, this too will make the game jumpy !!

Do you have an external Zip drive (or other similar devices)? My SOF2 was running choppy then one day by accident i turned off my ZIP drive and SOF2 worked sweet. SOF2 was not the only application running choppy for me. For example the visulaizations in Windows Media Player was also running choppy. The whole problem was with my ZIP being turned on when i boot up.
