I downloaded some map files and want to know which program is best to unzip them. I have PKZIP, WINZIP, and WINRAR. and they all basically do the same thing. They either say the file is an invalid archive, or that the file is corrupt. Any suggestions?

Just rename the .pk3 extension to .zip and winzip (8.1) will be able to handle it (if not, you've got a corrupt pk3 file). Dont forget to rename it back to pk3 after u finished messing with it :)

by reading map files i assume you mean *.map? these can't be unzipped, but can be opened with gtkradiant (www.qeradiant.com)

if you mean pk3's, these should open perfectly well with winzip/winrar/winetc

Be more specific man :P You mean .pk3 files or .map files? if you have .pk3 files that contain maps then just place/unzip/extract em into your sof2 base folder and if you have .map files place/unzip/extract em to anywhere you like or into you sof2 base\maps folder and then like Lethal says open em with gtk radiant
