Try different weapons. Practice makes perfect ... Not just going out there and playing ... But really trying to aim. Different servers have different settings.

DaLeetRocket Crosshairsize 10 Mouse sensitivy 16 ( something..)
Wow.... Mine is the default 5. Years ago I experimented with going to 8 and a little beyond, but never 16 !!!! No wonder you cannot aim.

The A and D are strafe, right ? You don't use them for turning, right ?
Little demo - www.zone.ee/sof2vid/demo0897.dm_2001

Sorry - I play 1.03 and cannot watch a dm_2001.
Any hints, suggestions whatever are welcome, i want really better aim :Z

GET THE FULL VERSION ! Why play the demo and miss all the fun ?!?! Then you can also play one of the mods that actually tell you how good or bad your aim is.

For me the best aim tip is (and I usually get the medal for best aim): - Use strafe when shooting over distance - turn using mouse when in close combat. - Aim for upperbody if and shoot in short bursts like 3-5 shots to avoid recoil. - DON'T PANIC

That really depends on your graphics card and settings, I believe 16 was the breaking point between seeing a dot and not seeing a dot on 1024x768. I use 16 too!

We're not talking SIZE, LB. We're talking mouse-sensitivity ;-)

Best advice I can give is to select your settings and stay with them. If you start changing cvars, especially mouse sense, you will never become, and stay accustomed to a "feel" that works for you. Not all sensitivities, crosshair sizes, types, etc, etc works for every person. There is ALOT of personal preference involved in many of these settings. IN a nutshell......rate, maxpackets, max fps, snaps, crosshair type and size, settings like these...select a good baseline, as suggested thru out these forums, and stay with it. Otherwise you will be constantly trying to re-learn an ever-changing "feel". One last word. Find a damage u prefer, real damage or normal damage, and try to choose your servers you play in based on your choice, especially if you are having aim, "feel" issues. Hope something I have babbled will help you, keep shooting and hope for the best. :cya:

yeah dude just turn down your mouse snsitivity, mines like right down dont know number value. turn it down till it becomes anoying to turn around quick enough. Use ur strafe left and right too, one on someone if they running fairly straight u can keep on them with strafing only, its more reliable.
