I found these commands in a config...sof2mp.cfg....I have never seen them before.

"seta g_adjPBLMaxsZ "-39" seta g_adjDuckedLBMinsZ "25" "

Anyone know what they are.They just look a bit suss...may be nothing. Cheers

Quake 2 settings... they aren't even recognized in SoF2, the person must have just set thim in his config expecting them to have the same impact.

Maybe they are also quake2 settings, but in SOF2 they are used by mods that fixed the infamous crouch/lean bug (Goldrush included). Code is made by Slowjusko (from the ManDown mod)...

There should be four of those cvars (default values):

If you used your eyes more often you'd know :rolleyes:.

But it doesn't say what they do. A value means nothing without a description. They fix the lean bug, but bleh, what happens when we change those values?

Tbh i dont know the exact meaning of those values... they fix the headhitboxes in certain situations: If i remember it well the hitboxes of the head did not move when a player was using a shotgun in combination of crouch and leaning. Very annoying when you only can see the head of such player when he is partly behind a wall (the real headhitbox was behind the wall so you couldnt reach that).

It works as it has been tested. But i dont know what happens when a serveradmin modifies those values (they are serversided cvars so useless for the players).

I think i gonna remove those cvars for Goldrush and repace them by fixed values (the ones mentioned above) as they work nicely. And the cvars itself only cause confusion (and it saves 5 extra lines in the sof2mp.cfg).

Well, if EVEN you don't know what they mean exactly :P

I saw a picture once on the mandown site where it showed the boxes and how it worked but I didn't realize this was changeable with cvars. I always believed the hitboxes where modeled onto the character or someting like that, but I guess they are just coordinates coded into the game.
