Does anyone know how to make a caserun mod. Ill tell you what it is. Its when both teams have control over a case kinda like inf but both teams get control over it. The team that keeps it for the most amount of time wins. You get to respawn at a base. and if you kill the person with the case. the case returns to the normal spot and then people start to fight over it again. points are given to the persons team who has the case. 1 point a second. Please Help?

It should be fairly simple to do. Base it off INF and modify the INF gametype. Everything in there is all you should need. Make it so drop and stuck resets the item and optionally restarts the round. trap_Cmd_ResetItem ( ITEM_BRIEFCASE ); trap_Cmd_Restart (5); Make it so both teams can pick it up. Change case ITEM_BRIEFCASE: if ( arg2 == TEAM_BLUE ) to: case ITEM_BRIEFCASE: if ( arg2 == TEAM_BLUE || arg2 == TEAM_RED) Then create a timer (a good place might be in the runframe function) to increment the score of the team that holds the case. if(checkTimer < time + 1000) { switch(gt_itemOwner.integer) ///make a cvar or int to keep track of who has the item { case TEAM_RED: trap_Cmd_AddTeamScore ( TEAM_RED, 1 ); break; case TEAM_BLUE: trap_Cmd_AddTeamScore ( TEAM_BLUE, 1 ); break; default: break; } checkTimer = time + 1000; } Then comment out all the triggers and whatever you dont want to use and it should be good enough to get started

I seem to remember goldrush has something like that - somewhere within the 15 added gametypes.

...I could be wrong...

Your not wrong m8. It is team capture and hold. It exactly as described in the first post but with 1 central flag. 1 point is scored for every 5 seconds a team holds onto the flag (time can be altered) Have a look on the official Goldrush site sof2goldrush.net

Is he asking how to create it or where to get it? By the post I assumed that he already played it, was trying to make his own gametype and needed a little help. Now that I think of it, I havent seen any modders posting code or programming tips on these forums, so I guess he was looking for the completed gametype. Anyway, theres probably 5 different mods or standalone gametypes that have a similar setup. It would probably be best to use one of those then to download goldrush and rip it out of there.

So long as its for private use. If he intends to add it to a mod for release then he needs permission from GODh.

What file are the gametypes in?

And you don't have to download a file when adding an edited gametype on a server? Cool, could make my own special snipe gametype.

Oh, and btw, i have demo, will it work?
