I didn't make it!
I've got a dedicated LAN server setup, and I added some of the new maps to it (sniper_city, tma-2, etc). I've got "sv_allowdownload" turned on on the server, so when I connect with a client, it starts to automatically download the new map. However, it never goes above about 15K/sec, so it takes 3 or 4 minutes to download a 3 meg file. If this was dial-up, or even a really bad DSL or Cable connection, I could understand that. But, like I said, this is a LAN connection. What am I doing wrong here?
I post to get attention

maybe that server has a (errr. whats the word) a 'limiter' which will limit ure d/l speed to whatever they put it as i guess so it doesnt eat abndwidth and slow the server up

Or another suggestion, download the maps first from sof2files.com and not have to bother downloading them from the server.
The Internet ends at GF

Thats sounds better, Gets rid of lag, and helps the person wanting the map they get better download speeds. Every ones a winner if u ask me.
