If n e 1 can help it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advanced
Have you reinstalled it ? You probably reinstalled it over a bad registry entry ...

what merrick was saying is it maybe a bad registry entry and when you uninstalled it the entry might still be there. what you should try is uninstall a get registry cleaning program then reinstall. most reg cleaners are free so just google for 1.

Yeah fraps sucks for recording gameplay, As you probably know a 10sec clip is 15-20mb+ wich is pants, Compressing to mpeg doesn't help much either :(. You should also speak to chicane who makes the BEST sof2 movies you can find him at ownage have fun.
PS.. Pm me your email addy if you use msn :)

Compression gives the same result no matter if the video is originally made by Fraps or using the internal cl_avidemo command. It's all a matter of selecting the right codec (such as divx, xvid or x264) and the right settings (such as bitrate). Remember to compress audion too or you could end up using many MB on that alone ... ;-)
Fraps is generally quite ok for most of the action in SOF2 movies (if the resolution is not too high and the PC not too slow). Fraps is not good for super slow details in movies but that's a different matter. The reason the avi file generated by Fraps is rather big is good compression takes time - plenty of time - and so Fraps only applies a fast compression that still allows it to process 30 pictures per second.
