They dissapear much earlier than that ;-)

You cannot make them stay longer unless you play a mod that has that feature - like UNF104 or Goldrush 3.

from Goldrush 3.0 beta (final release will be very soon)

Added extra server cvar: g_maxBodies Default value = 0, max = 64 (bodies) This cvar controls the number of bodies laying on the floor (this can/will have impact on performance of server, so use it with care!) SOFII default: The number of dead bodies is controlled by 2 things: * cg_bodyTime, a user cvar that tells SOFII (and so Goldrush) how long a body may stay on the floor (in seconds). 0 = endlessly * Next to that the server controls the maximum number of bodies that can lay on the floor. This depends on the player respawntype (max = 8 or 64)! If g_maxBodies < 1 then g_maxBodies doesnt do anything (everything will work according the SOFII default)! if g_maxBodies > 0 than this value controls the maximum number of bodies that can lay on the floor. Downside of this is that chunks (bodyparts like arm and legs) are not seen as bodies. So by default they just sink after apx 8 seconds. To "fix" this problem, i added a new client cvar: cg_chunkTime Default value = 0; max = 60 (seconds) This client cvar controls the time a chunk is laying on the floor. Please note that there is NO relation with the g_maxBodies server cvar, so this cvar also works when g_maxBodies has been disabled! Therefor i suggest that when you use cg_bodyTime (value > 0), then you use the same value for cg_chunkTime! If your cg_bodyTime = 0, then you can use cg_chunkTime to keep the chunks longer (or shorter) on the floor... If cg_chunkTime = 0 then chunks will sink at the default value (apx 8 seconds). Please keep in mind that lots of bodies and chunks will affect your frames per seconds (FPS)!!

they are Goldrush 3 specific cvars. so they only work in Goldrush.

thats correct m8. ver 1.03 (gold) on the up side Goldrush maybe changing its file structure in 3.0 with 3 seperate files, server (around 16mb) mappack (around 100mb) and clientside (around 6mb) servers would need client and server files were as clients would just need the 6mb of client files (you can still run a server with just client files but there would be no bot files) and the mappack is optional. but GODh has not decided on this and it may still stay as 1 file.
