Well 2 days ago I finished Soldier of Fortune 2 : Gold Edition (talking about Single player missions) The game was really great. There was lot of missions and that's really good. I hate games you can finish in 2-3 days.. It actually took me around 2 months to finish the game. (I don't play really often.. 2-3 missions per week)

The objectives were original, not always the same think like in some games. However, the enemies were a little stupid lol. In the first missions, I could stand in front of them and they would shoot all around but not on me. Well maybe that's because I was playing in 'easy' mode.

Even if it's an old game, the graphics aren't really bad at all. I like it because it's one of the only game I can play on high settings smoothly. It's of course far from being a 'new gen game' but who cares? The gameplay is good and that is important.

The multiplayer part is also great. Even though I hate when I have to download files from the server or when I connect to a server and there's only bots in there. I also have some problems with Punk Buster but guess I can't do anything about that (I am not even using a skin or anything.. 100% clean.. Don't know why it's kicking me from some servers)

Anyway.. I thought I'd share my thoughts on this game with you :)

Rating: Graphics : 7/10 Gameplay : 9.5/10 Single Player : 9/10 Multiplayer : 8/10

Overall : 8.5/10

Single player has way better graphics than multiplayer, I think SOF2 multiplayer was added on the last minute, if you set difficulty at max on single there are few health packs scarce ammo highly accurate enemies also you can customize the difficulty.

I've played single player ages ago, single player is great if you like objectives or complete a mission without being seen. but if you are the kind of run, jump and shoot then you may not like it. but you all should play single player at least once in your lives, is dumb to be fan of a game you haven't played completely :D

Single player was fun, I enjoyed it also.

So how many times did you get killed trying to down the Helicopter on the last level? And did you figure out without help, how on earth you shoot it down?

lol. The last mission. I shot the helicopter 3 times with the Grenade launcher. After that, I got on top and finished him with the machine gun. Took me around 30 tries..

yeah kinda the same for me, a nice part is when you are on the helicopter in and you have to rush the enemies on the ground

Crissi if you want to post the kick error, we can see what the issue is. By now, almost all of the servers have files on them that you need to download. It is one of the most customized games around.

Go to the website of the clan hosting the servers and get the files from their site. You are even welcome to play with us :D Files on our site.

yeh sof2 single player woz fun, i set it to medium difficulty and it took me a while to get through it, the chopper stage took me ages, prolly bout 30 odd times lol but if i remember correctly i worked out certain parts of the chopper had to be hit, will do it again on hard 1 day to sharpen skills cus it forces u to practice all aspects of combat. as for multiplayer, that rocks, i dun mind downloadin stuff off servers if it dun take too long, i got a lil patience and it only has to be done once, its worth it in the end if that server becomes a favourite, i have many fav servers using many different game mods but it gives the game diversity and makes it more enjoyable :D

I think SOF2 multiplayer was added on the last minute

Multiplayer had reduced graphics not because it was added last minute, but back in those days they couldn't be too high-def as they would lag up the servers.

Yes, SoFII was an excellent game. I appreciate its style when compared to some shooters nowdays
