I think someone is phibbing to me. So thought I'd ask you guys. Example my Mapcycle has as the 1st map an RPG only + Low Gravity map. Once the maps cycles further on. If someone votes that map again. It plays but default with all weapons and no low gravity. It's not following my cvars set in the mapcycle. I was told you can vote it back on or via admin and retain the mapcycle's cvars set. However the person that told me this didn't say how to do it? Is this possible or is someone pulling my leg :deal: ? Tricky

Lets see a copy of your mapcycle, to see if its set up correctly please :)

i am not that up on roc. but in goldrush you need better naming instead of map 1. this is a example . mapcycle { finca { Command "map gold_finca" cvars { map_id "Finca" next_map1 "Coldboot" next_map2 "Bridge" next_map3 "Shop2" next_map4 "Prague2" next_map5 "Harbour" next_map6 "Jordan1" next_map7 "Supply22c" } } the cvars you have after the map name are ok to add. but as your weapons, scorelimit and time limt stay the same the rest of the cvars are not needed. and should be set in the server.cfg if you send me a list of the maps and how you want it to work i will dl roc and test a few things for you. i should dl roc anyway as i need to know more about it.

you could make a config file for each map (ie. finca.cfg). containing all the stuff needed (map mp_finca, gravity, weapons, bots, ...). then execute it 'rcon pwd exec finca'. you will have to set a rconpassword first.

finca.cfg:

that wont work on a voting enabled server. its all down to the map id.

Goody I'll just email my whole Mapcycle.cfg to you. The 1st three maps are limited weapons rest use the same ones over and over. Only the 1st map is Low Gravity. I'll send you the file in abit. Thanks for the help!

Ok ... ROC HELP TO THE RESCUE> When you vote in a map, it is voted in under the CURRENT game cvars. It won't play with the mapcycle cvars. The game server doesn't know it is supposed to go back to map1 at the beggining of the cycle. You can restart the map cycle if you want , but that only helps you if you want to replay that map. Voting=bad if you want to play that map as you have it in your mapcycle. So if you play Finca map1 ELIM, and you want to play that map as such again and you have already gone to the next map, your admin must make the necessary changes MANUALLY. Change map to finca. Change map to ELIM. Map restarts, you play.

you can use an external rcon software to change the gravity on your server. But the weapons are by the cvar.

MerrickDS, What your saying is what RocMod 2.1c is doing for me. This is not a big deal. My Map 1 is the highlight of my Mapcycle, so players try to Vote it back on again and again. Even I will reset the server to play Map 1. I'll just add Map 1 a few more times in the Mapcycle I have. Atleast I know now I'm not crazy! Thanks to all that replied - Tricky
