Ok guys, i have search many pages to find out how to place your own mp3's on sof2 while playing. So far this is the information i recieved: // COPY 6 MP3s into 'demo' folder & name 1.mp3,2.mp3,3.mp3...etc set s_musicvolume "0.0" // default SOF music off set music0 "echo Press key again to ^1Start ; set musicnext vstr music1" set music1 "play 1.mp3; echo MP3 1; set musicnext vstr music2" set music2 "play 2.mp3; echo MP3 2; set musicnext vstr music3" set music3 "play 3.mp3; echo MP3 3; set musicnext vstr music4" set music4 "play 4.mp3; echo MP3 4; set musicnext vstr music5" set music5 "play 5.mp3; echo MP3 5; set musicnext vstr music6" set music6 "play 6.mp3; echo MP3 6; set musicnext vstr music1" set musicnext vstr music0 bind x "vstr beeper2; echo ^1Stop!" // Stop bind c "vstr musicnext" // Play set beeper2 "play sound\misc\menus\hilite1.wav" Well i did what it says... placed my 6 mp3's on my "demos" folder... and named the mp3's as: 1.mp3, 2.mp3, 3.mp3, 4.mp3, 5.mp3, 6.mp3. And in my profile (.cfg) i wrote as told;

bind x "vstr beeper2; echo ^1Stop!" // Stop bind c "vstr musicnext" // Play set s_musicvolume "0.0" // default SOF music off set music0 "echo Press key again to ^1Start ; set musicnext vstr music1" set music1 "play 1.mp3; echo MP3 1; set musicnext vstr music2" set music2 "play 2.mp3; echo MP3 2; set musicnext vstr music3" set music3 "play 3.mp3; echo MP3 3; set musicnext vstr music4" set music4 "play 4.mp3; echo MP3 4; set musicnext vstr music5" set music5 "play 5.mp3; echo MP3 5; set musicnext vstr music6" set music6 "play 6.mp3; echo MP3 6; set musicnext vstr music1" set musicnext vstr music0 set beeper2 "play sound\misc\menus\hilite1.wav" Now when i press the 'c' key to play the music, it asks to press it again to play, so i do, but somehow.. it doesnt seem to find the music. So far i have reached no possible explanation to this problem.

I have thought of a couple of things, such as that this way to do it, is wrong (Which so far i dont see how, cuz i do get response from it in the server [play, but no file found], as well as the stop [stop] ). Or that im doing something wrong.

If ANYONE of you out there, knows a way to help me, please do. Thank you.

Hey Outlawz :]

Try putting the music files in your Base folder

I've gotten a simmialer script to work by putting them in the base folder

This script is for SoF2 MP Demo

By demo they mean base so heres an updated version of your script

bind "vstr beeper2; echo ^1Stop!" // Stop bind "vstr musicnext" // Play set s_musicvolume "0.0" // default SOF music off set music0 "echo Press key again to ^1Start ; set musicnext vstr music1" set music1 "play 1.mp3; echo MP3 1; set musicnext vstr music2" set music2 "play 2.mp3; echo MP3 2; set musicnext vstr music3" set music3 "play 3.mp3; echo MP3 3; set musicnext vstr music4" set music4 "play 4.mp3; echo MP3 4; set musicnext vstr music5" set music5 "play 5.mp3; echo MP3 5; set musicnext vstr music6" set music6 "play 6.mp3; echo MP3 6; set musicnext vstr music1" set musicnext vstr music0 set beeper2 "play sound\misc\menus\hilite1.wav"

Press key again to ^1Start

You can change this to anything you want like

^D_.-={^fPress Play Key To Start Music^D}=-._

My MP3 script voor sof2 v1.03 (mp3's are placed in the \sof2\base\mp folder, and mp3's are renamed to 1.mp3 2.mp3 and so on)

set c5_00 "set c5_f vstr c5_01; music 1" set c5_01 "set c5_f vstr c5_02; music 2" set c5_02 "set c5_f vstr c5_03; music 3" set c5_03 "set c5_f vstr c5_04; music 4" set c5_04 "set c5_f vstr c5_05; music 5" set c5_05 "set c5_f vstr c5_06; music 6" set c5_06 "set c5_f vstr c5_07; music 7" set c5_07 "set c5_f vstr c5_08; music 8" set c5_08 "set c5_f vstr c5_09; music 9" set c5_09 "set c5_f vstr c5_10; music 10" set c5_10 "set c5_f vstr c5_11; music 11" set c5_11 "set c5_f vstr c5_12; music 12" set c5_12 "set c5_f vstr c5_13; music 13" set c5_13 "set c5_f vstr c5_14; music 14" set c5_14 "set c5_f vstr c5_15; music 15" set c5_15 "set c5_f vstr c5_00; music 16" set c5_f "vstr c5_00" // Default bind F4 "vstr c5_f" // next song

set c6_00 "s_musicvolume 1.0; set com2 vstr c6_01" set c6_01 "s_musicvolume 0.0; set com2 vstr c6_00" set com2 "vstr c6_00" // Default bind f5 "vstr com2" // Mute or unmute

yep agreed. turn the game music down and use winamp ot something like that. most keyboard have media controls on them nowadays. so it is easy to create a play list and use the keyboards media keys to goto what ever you want without messing with the game. also it works with most other games to. ;) good call LB

hi, i suggest you copy your mp3s to base/mp or base/. Alternativ you could also change the paths of your mp3s in your config (play demos/1.mp3, etc). // sry for the post i didnt see the replies first...

Media keys ftw :lol:

But still, you can set global shortcuts in winamp, that even function INSIDE sof2 iirc.
