How could you never have heard of Tetris? It's one of the best games of all time.

Honestly the only thing that will really kill sof2 is a sequal. Thats basically what happened with sof2. I played sof quite a bit until the sequal came out. There are still some sof servers, but most people wont pay to host a server for a game that has a hit sequal. Battlefield 2 is not the game to kill sof thats for sure. Unless sof2 players suddenly like huge expansive levels invloving domination of bases and vehicles rather than straight forward close combat ctf. Screenshots aren't everything. Far Cry looked amazing and seemed like it could have been an sof2 killer. But the first time you fired a gun in FC or played their gametype you knew it couldn't replace sof2. Personally for me, I have replaced sof2 with CounterStrike:Source. I still play sof2 once in a while but its environments are bland and the game has just gotten old for me. I have played sence release, more than most I know. It has just gotten old. No real mods, no total conversions, no expansion packs, no updates. Just my 2 cents.

OK guys my first post here, not really a forum guy usually but i figure its time to give my few thoughts...... Ive been playing SOF2 since release and i consider myself to be a hardcore gamer from First person shooters to MMORPG's, i spend considerable hours each week gaming at home, but i always find myself back playing SOF, I find there is no FPS that compairs to what SOF2 and SOF2 Gold offers, its a stable client / server system that doesnt chew your system resources and leave you with nothing.....(Evil Evil Games come to mind).... SOF2 offers the end user quite a bit for what it is, and for me no matter the game SOF is where its at and ill always come back to get a few headshots in to relive the stress of getting powned by a jedi knight gank squad in SWG (ROFL). On one final note SOF2 Ownz for LAN Parties, CS and many other FPS's require you to have iNET access, personally ill favor SOF always for its LAN Capability its non restrictive :) .....tryed to lan it up with CS Source a week or so ago, and well if you aint connected to the Net you aint doing it..... HumanTarget ***Oh yeah and i had 2 people ask me about pricing on SoF2 Servers (I Run a Hosting Service) within the past month or so..... SOF2 aint going anywhere***

Welcome to the forums. :)

I know what you mean about LAN's, it's just so easy to do. No fiddly bits, no extra things you need to download or anything. To me too, you can't compare it.

Yeah thats just it, you install and run SOF2mp.exe and goto lan.... no connection to any clients or notta thing to mess with... we had about 16 people at one of our LAN parties using a 100 base network, and using my computer as a server while playing.... My system at that time only had 256 megs of ram (64 megs was stolen by my video card) this computer was hosting and i was playing on it, No one not even myself experience LAG.... i was quite surprised and impressed ..... the same people later that night we tryed a "Armada 2" game with only 8 players, well lets just say it took us 45 minutes just to get everyone connected. when the game started after 4 minutes 3 players were droped due to network issues.... well im babbeling (this is why i avoid forums  ) ill let you guys catch up HumanTarget
