Is there a way to turn off the way admins and sysops spectate without having to suspend. Basically I want to enable ghost but disable admin and sysops spectating the enemy on respawn. Thanks

No... not that i remember ... That is the "gravy " of being sysop and admin ... If you don't want them to do it you have to suspend.

That is how admins are always being favoured over others. Also no tk% and stuff like that. It's really lame imo, giving admins an advantage like that.

However, if you know how to code a bit, you can try to change rocmod to your likings, because the source was released a while ago :)

I totally agree...you cannot have a fair game with an option like this. Don't get me wrong...I think the ghost option is good so that you can use it when necessary, but sysops and admins being able to spectate enemy all the time is in my opinion "cheating". I am surprised that others did not mention it before when this mod came out and then maybe in one of the new releases it would have been changed to an option that could be turned on or off.

The idea is that anyone respected enough to become an admin or sysop will have integrity and character enough not to abuse the priviledge.

Exactly as TED said .. if you put someone in that position, they should be honest enough to not use it as a cheat .... So you should look to the admin and sysops to suspend their admin when they come on the server unless there is a problem ...it isn't like it tells everyone when you suspend it. So nobody will know if you have or not.

Why have the option to do it, if you need to be 'honest' and not use it. A bit strange if you ask me.

Who would not abuse this? There is no way anyone can tell anyway.

Honest admins don't. That's who.

as a admin and LB remember you will be a admin + sysop when the new servers arrive. i have never abused this. i have on occastion jumped into spec to deal with campers and so on. but most servers have a max spec time for normal players. who is to say they dont abuse that. as for the tk i agree, admins should play by the same rules, although it is not good to ban a admin for tk's maybe they should loose there weapons for x mins instead and be allowed to be shot by fellow team members with no punishment. something like admin Goody is now target practise for 2 mins

Usually Admins are the sort where they don't need to be punished for TKs because they're almost always accidents. TK punishment is for people who don't appreciate the severity of the offense.

And, to answer the other question - the option is there because it has a definite purpose. Admins NEED to be able to spectate the opposing team to investigate claims of cheating or tking, etc. If you can't trust your admins not to abuse it, then how can you trust them to run your server? I'm not saying it wouldn't be a useful option, but I don't see it being very likely that it'll ever be added.
