Ok, I have a prob with sof now, that I didn't have before. The monitor is a bit slow on the framerate or something; I get a shockin view, like i'm laggin a bit. But I;m not lagging, also occurs when I'm on my own server (LAN) so I think it's a prob with the framerate or something but I don;t know what settings to change...
Can anyone help me? :(
When you are in game type the following:
If that dosen't work, try updating your graphics card drivers. :)
I looked /com_maxfps up and it said:
com_maxfps <#> "Sets the maximum frame rate you will achieve. The main purpose of this cvar is to help throttle outgoing data to the client. Each frame that is rendered sends information to the server indicating your most recent movement information (as well as other information). Decreasing the rate will decrease the amount of traffic you send to the server, and thus, may lower your lag. Default is 85."
So, if I get this right, I have to lower the rate and not raise it. Right??? Anyway I have set it to 60... and I'm not noticing any real difference..
Ow btw, I also got the newest drivers for my graphicscard, I think that helped a bit :)
Any more settings that may influence the smoothness of the game???
No, you raise it. The higher the frames per second, the smoother the gameplay is. Try setting it to 600. ( I doubt your graphics card can go that high, so it will max out before it hits 600 ). I have mine set to 600, and it fluctuates between 200 and 250. It's not as laggy as limiting the fps to 60.
ah okay, thnx man, I'll try that
