Hi, I just started playing sof2 again... since years... played ET. Now I notice that sof2 is based much more on luck than ET. Like spraying; sometimes you make a beautiful kill, the other you just don't hit him... Could anyone tell me the right shooting technique for far, medium and short distance? I try to spray... but sometimes it just does zero... certainly from close... and where to aim?... I tried to spectate... but that didn't really make me wiser..

Forgotten all of it :) grtz

ummm the only suggestion i can give you is.... Practice ? There is no substitution for it. There is no " technique" people can give you to aim.... Aim a little low because of weapon kick maybe, lead your target ahead when aiming far away, and because of ping differences, but that is about it.

The most important thing about shooting in sof2 is that you dont hold down the fire button. If you hold down the fire button your aim is going up because of the recoil. The best technique is to tap the fire button. And i personally like to aim a little bit high because you then get the most headshots. The rest is just practise.

problem with that is. You aim high and you miss the hit box because of the recoil. Some servers don't even use recoil on their servers any longer. LOL ...

you may have conflicting weapon mods in your folders. some server mods conflict very badly on other servers. have a temp clean out of weapon mods and go visit the servers that you like and just download there weapon mod (if they have one). you may notice a small diff or no diff.......or a large diff.

If the server is unpure, it may read two damage mods, and therefore could cause an anomoly aiming. Not likely in most circumstances, but a possibilty all the same.

some good tips for you so far. dont know why it suddenly changed to weapon mods. but heres some more tips and a quick recap. aiming really depends on 2 things. 1 your style of prefered game. 2 the servers weapons file. the server is probably more important than your own style of play. as merrick said some servers remove recoil and stuff like that altogether. personally i prefer it left alone. some servers have hundrends of bullets in a clip so you can spray until you hearts content. the thing to do is find a server that feels comfortable to you. some run standard weapons files with just adjusted clip sizes and extra clips. style of play again only you know how you play. if you prefer sniping then find a good sniper server were the anticamp is turned off. and ofcourse sniping means always go for the head shot. but you sound like a run and spray kinda guy so like they said in the first few posts aim a little lower and short sharp bursts. unless your running around with a shotty then again go for the headshot. during ww2 there was a pilot who nearly always hit everything he aimed at. and he tried to explain how he did it to others. he said "i dont hit them, i shoot infront of them and they fly into the bullets" in other words if someone is running shoot just infront and let them run into the bullets. no point aiming at them as they wont be there when the bullets get there.
