What is the difference between SOF2 and SOF2 GOLD if i run a server with sof2 gold installed will sof2 players be able to connect. Will I have to disable certain maps to get normal sof2 players to join????
SOF2 GOLD is basically all the updates.
While SOF2 is with no updates.
And you cant run a server for SOF2 GOLD and get SOF2 players to play on it.

Bog standard SoF2 = ver 1.01 1st upadte took it to ver 1.02 2nd and Final update took the game to ver 1.03 Gold
If you try to join a server with a diff ver you will get the game missmatch error pop up ;)

Sof2 1.00 = no anticheat software (punkbuster) = full of hackers
Sof2 1.03 = Included anticheat software = 99% less hackers = better gaming :)
My mate has got SOF2 silver.. but he added the Gold patch yeah.
Can he play on SOF2 gold servers still.. 'cos we can never each see the same server to play in.
Any ideas?
He's sopposed to be able to. As like they said, SOF2 Gold, is just SOF2 with the Gold patch.
I've noticed that some servers don't seem to appear at times. I still don't know why. Try playing over Gamespy, if you can, or another internet gaming site.
Try calling your friend up, and sending him your IP?
