sofpayback.com got a follow-up to the Cauldron interview.

You can read it here

IGN has a more detailed Soldier Of Fortune: Payback preview with some hands on. See it here

Not all of the news is good... but I still have high hopes.

Those are some nice movies!

I see only this outdoor map so hopefully it's something like Columbia in SoF2 and that would mean that you can go inside in a further level (I hope the shop). In the preview I read that you can't seperate bodyparts. Where did I read something about 36 bodyparts that could be shot off? I think on the sofpayback.com site so I don't really know what to believe there tbh..

Well 1up.com got there hands on a xbox level and here is what they had to say. Soldier of Fortune Payback PC Preview, Soldier of Fortune Payback Preview

t's typically a bad sign when a game stays in hiding until a month before release -- especially when that game is from a franchise known for violence and simplicity. Getting our hands on Soldier of Fortune Payback today, though, we were surprised to find that it doesn't look like a budget game (on Xbox 360, anyway, as that was the only version we were able to check out). That's not to say it looks nearly as good as Call of Duty 4 -- which will also be in stores in November -- but take that game out of the equation and Payback's visuals hold up more decently than you might expect to the rest of the shooters out there. But if you're comparing Soldier of Fortune to traditional veteran-approved games like Brothers in Arms or Medal of Honor, you may be in the wrong market. Unlike most games in the genre, Payback is extremely bloody and 'rewards' aggressive players by showing limbs flying off as you pull the trigger. It's not exactly tasteful stuff, and that's the whole idea.

More coming soon.
