I have just purchased the game from Gamestop. I had a $5 deposit at a different one but wasn't in until tomorrow and I coudn't wait, so I drove to a further one to purchase it! I'm excited... but now the vid won't work. I will update all my drivers tonight and directX as well. I run Windows XP and have a gef 6800 256. I assumed that the vid would work because all my other games work. ie. bf2142, cod4, crysis... odd. Thanks Goody!

Hey Walleye, sorry to hear your game is not working properly, but let me tell you.. you are not missing much! I played the game for about an hour, and I am very disappointed. No lean, No color names, No chat in Multiplayer, No advanced options. I am going to try and find a copy of sof2. Oh, almost forgot, no punkbuster, and no CD keys.

well i had that same problem with GRAW and i found out that my video card was not sapported by the game. So i would say make shur all your drivers are up to date. And if that dont help i would look into getting a new video card. Thats my 2 cents anyways

Hey Guys,

I just got home not long ago with my copy of SoF:PB and have installed it with no problems. However, when i try to run it i get the exact same error as Walleye does. i load up, hear what i presume is the Activision logo 'cut scene' but all that i see is black, i get to the menu and can hear some music and clicking if i press enter, nothing. my specs are:

Nvidia GeForce 7300 GS - 512mb ram 1GB of ram Intel Pentium Dual CPU E2140 @ 1.60GHz (not sure what else you need, let me know if i missed something) i'm running Direct X 10 and all my drivers are up to date as far as i know.

so, Walleye, reckon you could post/email me (ant_man_5m_thick@hotmail.com) your solution? cause from the sound of it you got the exact same problem as i did.

thanks in advance anyone who helps, would love to get into SoF:PB as soon as i can and see which side of the reviews have been right IMO :D
