Ok alot of you seem to think that Jedi Academy is jk3, well its not if you look at it from a certain point of view, like mine. *Ahem* To get started, were gonna need a rundown of all the games in the series:

Star Wars Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight

Ok with title bases, we can assume that this is a sequel to The original Dark Forces game right? Ok now that we all agree, lets move on.

Star Wars Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith

Alot of ppl forget about this game, but it does exist and therefore is a game in the Jedi Knight series. So by theory of people who play jka, this game can be infact called jk2. On with the next.

Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast

But wait a minute? How can this be called jk2 when there was already a game after Jedi Knight? Strange. Lucas Arts named Outcast Jk2. So then this can be titled jk3 from a certain standpoint right? Hmmm next please.

Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy

Now, look here. No where at Lucas Arts, or on the box does it state that this game is jk3. But why do people call it jk3? Cause its the third game? What happened to Mystereis of the Sith? Did it just dissapear? So in theory, this game can technically be called jk4 from my view.

Summary:

Now that all the facts have been pointed out, I'll just state the obvious. JKA is not in no way possible jk3. If it were, then I must be living in the twilight zone or something. It is another expansion type game simalair to the goal of Mysteries of the Sith.

I will admit yes, its another game. It has improved graphics over Outcast. It have noobish style gameplay lol, just kidding :naughty:

From what I hear, Lucas Arts is planing on making another Jedi Knight game which will be possibly titled jk3. I'll laugh my ass off if they do that hahaha

But lets not forget about the original Dark Forces? What about that game? Jedi Knight was a direct sequel to Dark Forces in most respects. So in theory, all games with a numeric title should be bumped up one:

Dark Forces: 1 DF2 Jedi Knight: 2 Mystereis of the Sith: 3 Jedi Outcast: 4 Jedi Academy: 5 Jedi ?????????: 6

Why are they calling these games the Jedi Knight series? It should be called The Dark Forces Series. Unless there gonna start making true Dark Forces Sequels, that would rock :smokin:

This is nothing to be serious about. Just something I been wanting to get off my chest for a while. I will leave you to diliberate amongst yourselfs.

Happy Sabering/Shooting yours truly,

Mesh

well MOTS was an expansion how can you call an expansion xx2 or whatever whereas JK3/ JA/ JK:JA /JKA is a whole new game. to be honest does it really matter its hardly like you think WTH is this JK3 they are talking about?!?!?!!? you know what they mean so whats the problem really?tis daft how many people make an issue of things like this. some even get pissed when someone calls it JKA. but there is the fact that MOTS WAS a exp pack which required the orig game so in no way could be JK2.

Star Wars Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight is not a part of the Jedi Knight series. It is a part of the "Dark Forces" series. The first Star Wars Jedi Knight game was Star Wars: Jedi Knight. Therefore, the second Jedi Knight game was Star Wars: Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast. The sequel to this, which is the third Jedi Knight game, is Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy. Thank you, and good night.

Can't people who want to raise this topic for mass debate this topic go and do something else, like play the game? Its what your right(or left) hand is for!

Such a hackneyed topic! Learn a new skill (mapping, skinning?) or improve on one already acquired?
