Do you have nothing to do? Do you have any modding experience in A2? Join myself and, hopefully, others on my new mod idea, "THE AGES". Below is a basic timeline of a skirmish. ********** 1. Pre-TOS This has only one or two ships per race, along with one station. To upgrade, the Pre-TOS station needs to build a construction ship, build the Pre-TOS Shipyard, and research "Level Up to TOS" at the station. Then, the TOS shipyard will become available.

Also, mining stations are available with, hopefully, a Space Shuttle used for a mining ship.

2. TOS This should eventually have about five or six ships per race, along with a phaser turret, Basic Research Station, and TOS Shipyard, and TOS Station. To reach the next era, the player must update/have the Pre-TOS Construction Ship, Pre-TOS Shipyard, and Pre-TOS Station to their next stage. They also must research "Level Up to TNG" at the Basic Research Station. Be aware, updating costs dilithium and metal.

3. TNG In this era, many more familiar ships appear. I will try to use as few stock ships as possible, but in some cases that might be impossible. The Advanced Phaser Turret, Photon Torpedo Turret, TNG Construction Ship, TNG Shipyard, TNG Station, and Advanced Research Station become available. To upgrade to the next era, you must upgrade/have the TNG construction ship, TNG shipyard, TNG Station, and research the "Level Up to Post TNG".

4. Post TNG This, the final era, includes a few of the ships from TNG, but also introduces many more. The PTOS Construction Ship is able to construct all TNG stations, but also the Heavy Phaser Turret, Advanced Torpedo Turret, PTNG Station, PTNG Shipyard (where all super-advanced ships are created), and Super Tech. ****************************** To "update" stations, I plan on using the little-thought-of "evolve" fuction. Always used by 8472, it changes one thing into another. It will update ships, stations, and some technology. ****************************** An interesting race to play against will be the Borg. They will not have any era function because it has been assumed that they are a very old collective and have had most of their technologies since well before PTOS. They have the ability to build any ship, as soon as they research the tech for it. Their ships are also horribly powerful, with one cube being able to wipe out fleets - like Star Trek! To counteract this, I plan on having the Borg take about one minute thirty seconds a sphere. The cube will take about five to ten minutes. Finally, their ultimate ship will take about fifteen minutes. However, it is nearly indestructable. ************ I am looking for anyone who can: Configure ODF Files Create Textures Create Wireframes Create models Determine the power of each ship Configure the "evolve" function Create splash screens Troubleshoot Thank you for considering the team. I would like to help ,but i make ai fight good that it read my name (AI MASTER) you want the ai in your mod to fight good just say so...i love to edit the feds-borg are ok too!!!!

Currently I am working on the Borg side. Would 8 ships be enough? Here is my tentative list: /\ If a ship has "Advanced" in it, it has higher armor (with textures like those on the Tactical Cube) and higher special energy count. A regular ship can't be refit into one because of their technological differences./\ 1---Borg Interceptor (BI) ***Rectangular ship, can defeat any PTOS and most TOS ships one at a time with difficulty. Build time: ~15 seconds. 4 fuse to form BSC. 1A--Borg Advanced Interceptor (BAI) ***Can defeat any PTOS and any TOS ships, one heavy or two light/medium at a time. Build time: ~20 seconds. 4 fuse to form BASC. 2---Borg Scout Cube (BCS) ***The Borg's smallest cube, this is slightly larger than the Intrepid class. It can easily destroy any PTOS and TOS ships with two or three attacking at once, and can defeat some TNG ships when attacked by only one. Build Time: ~ 60 seconds (1 minute). Can be formed by fusing 4 BI. 2A--Borg Advanced Scout Cube (BACS) ***Can defeat any PTOS, TOS ships with three or four attacking at once, and can defeat 2 medium-strength TNG ships with great difficulty. Build Time: ~80 seconds (1 min. 20 sec). Can be formed by fusing 4 BAI. 3---Borg Light Cube (BCL) ***Can defeat any PTOS, TOS ships with four to six attackign at once, and can defeat three or four TNG ships, except for the most advanced. Build Time: ~480 seconds (8 minutes). Can be formed by fusing 8 BSC. 3A--Borg Advanced Light Cube (BACL) ***Can defeat any PTOS, TOS, or TNG ship with up to seven attacking at once. Build Time: ~640 seconds (Almost 11 minutes). Can be formed by fusing 8 BASC. 4---Borg Heavy Cube (BCH) ***Can defeat any PTOS, TOS, or TNG ship with eight or ten attacking at once. It can also defeat many PTOS ships, with several lighter ones attacking at once. Build Time: ~3840 seconds (1 hour 4 minutes). Can be formed by fusing 8 BLC. 4A--Borg Advanced Heavy Cube (BACH) ***Can defeat any era of ships, even with four or five of the highest-level PTNG ships attacking at once. Build Time: ~5120 seconds (1 hour 25 minutes). Can be formed by fusing 8 BALC. ==Brief note: the BACH would similar technologically to the cube that attacked in "Best of Both Worlds" and "Star Trek: First Contact". In the Delta Quadrent, Voyager mostly encountered the BLC or BALC, which explained how they survived. In "Q Who", the Enterprise probably encountered one of these also. The reason they take so long to build is that they are so powerful. Would you like to see fifty BACHs?== Bad joke: BACHs are a classical way to defeat your enemies.
