i need to know how to add hard points and rotating sections.
I have added the homeworld ships of b5 to armada 2. this took quiet a lot of time to get permission and half the time all i got from there community was no one is around any more so just do it and give them the main credit which i will do.
This took quiet some time to get all the ships i wanted into the mod. i had to convert all the files. I had to flip ships to get them into the right position and get there skins to work for them to work in the game.
when i ran the game they worked great until combat, not one ship fired nor did my special weapons work and it seems that i need to add hardpoints so how do i add them? i read a something online about hardpoints but when i tried the ship disappeared. and it was for making a ship from start not having one already made. when i just convert the ship and place it into the game it works. so how do i go about adding hardpoints.
then i need to add a rotating section for the omega and omega x so how do i go about doing that?

What program(s) are you using? In MS3D, there's a great hardpoins tool for importing... you can use a stock set for that, and edit how you like. As for animating, you'll need a program that can do it... or try animated textures.
If you want to do any kind of animating 3ds max 5 is required im affraid. As for hardpoints there are pleanty of tutorials around, Major Paynes and the Big Book of Modding being the most notible. Good Luck
I have converted a few homeworld b5 ships to armada 2 but from what people say ms3d can't make the omega sections rotate? could anyone do that for me if you gave you the files?
Have alook at the Omega's from the babylon 5 mod thats already out. Quite alot rotates in that mod, so I'd definately say its worth checking for a guideline of what you'll need to do.
