Great idea thunderfoot. I don't play the stock campaign, but many do and many mods like KA2 and Yesteryears are having all new campaigns so there is indeed still interest in campaigns.

Well I did my best to make the KA2 Campaign challenging, and you'll be pleased to know that Starfox and I solved the bugs in those two missions that crashes, so now she works :) Gameplay wise I don't know if its challenging. AIP wise i've only changed what the build, not how they act so much. I may try and tweak some things here and there but, since I had so many problems with the campaign anyway, it was a case of "if it in't broke don't fix it"

The idea is defiantly there. I look forward to seeing this up for download, though hopefully, it wont get too fast paced. I like to build my base up, and then kick ass. ;)

Thank you all for your encouragement and help. I am still exploring the AIP's and learning what does which to whom. I have caused the game to CTD thru the first three Fed Missions now, but happily it is always something that is easily fixable. Curiously, it is quite easy to make the AI literally overwhelming. I have learned that buildlists by themselves don't really do anything except change the target array for the player. The AIP's(Artificial Intelligence Personality) have a fascinating number of things that are highly adjustable. It is possible to take one AIP and by simply changing the priorities near the bottom, to make it react in two or three ways that are very different from each other. This promises to be as much fun to tinker with as A2PhysPjct was. I know, I know. StarFleet Kid forgot to put my name in the credits alongside his. That is why I am not gonna share this one with him. :rofl: In fact, would y'all mind not telling him about this? it will be our little secret. :lol:

Just got done running Fed SP Mission 03 with an adjusted AIP and tweaked buildlist. Got none of the aural cues or any other indicators that Mission Objectives were being accomplished. Even though I was doing what the stock game requires for the objective to be successfully accomplished. I have noticed that with the others I have done so far the AIP and the script seem to run together without conflict. This may be one where the script for the scenario, which I do not have access to, requires some very specific things from the Bots. This may make the Missions which require the AI to perform some very specific behaviors problematic. It may very well be that for some of them all I will be able to do is improve the quality of the buildlist and not add in better AI behavior.

Mission 01 is scary the way the borg seem tosupport each other and try to bate your ships out of cover.

You can see why I wanted this to be a part of A2PhysPjct. It is not the big things that made an impression, however. It is the little things like what your are speaking of, StarFox.

Oh yea, I had to stop for a cig 40 minute in cause they just wouldn't do what I'v come to expect from A2 Borg. Fustrating little bliters! I can think of other words but But most of them are rated R LOL;) Jokes aside this is the first time that this mission has ever presented Any challenge. Hell I normilly test ships that aren't yet setup to my personal mod because there's lots for them to shoot at but I don't worry about them getting killed to fast. Not with that AI:D!

Just got done with the first run of "Along the Neutral Zone". Fascinating. On the AI setting "Medium", the Collective picked a fight with the Romulans and then got themselves chased into my primary base area. It was a little odd seeing all those Warbirds whizzing by and not shooting at me. Picard shows up and I am racing like mad to get to him before the Cubes do and when I get there - No Cubes. I mean none even show up later after he's all fixed up. CTRL-V and the Borg and the Collective are having a pretty good fight all by themselves in the upper right corner of the map. I think I am going to try and do something about this. Naaaah!

BTW, StarFox, The teaser mission I sent in isn't the best AI I have. It needs to be adjusted upwards a little I think. The AI isn't quite ruthless or bold enough yet.
