Hi. For several days i have been using a tool to edit Armada 2's ODF files. I am giving everyship more shields, increasing the strength of weapons, and generally just making the game more balanced than the original. (I don't use any mods containing extra ships, except Fleet Ops 3) I am just wondering if there is actually any interest for such thing?

Hello: I am interested, well, in fact I was trying to make the same as you, mainly bacause Destroyers are too weak against Battleships. So I 'm trying to rebalance the game. So, I look forward to see your mod, I bet many people will agree with me. :)

To be blunt... not single one of those 50 trully re-balancing every thing or they don't try hard enought actully get every thing re-balanced or they make definet a super ship or somthing like that. Wich make game worse not better. I say go for it, but dont stop with the feds or romulan, do all the races. Then play game like mad crazy. Then re-balance it again. Im doing same thing has you as well, but im doing recoding/re-balancing (burst fire torpedoes any one?) also my idea also goes diffrent. Stronger sheilds, weaker weapon. Galaxy take ages to kill. So tatics will be needed. Plus im making it were you will need to use the attack commands like clover leaf. Make phasers miss 50% percent of the time.

My advice is for you to try something new and that has not yet been done. [quote=Dontai;3561207] Yeh new comment: The forums staffers think I'm Cool (i'm so cool and this so off topic)

Well thats a mixed bag of replies (see above). I would say go for it, it will be a good exercise in modding for you and you may come out with somthing interesting or good, dont be put off, in the end we mod for ourselves first and the community second (its all about what we to see from the game not someone else) Have fun doing it ............... :agreed
