You need to contact Elrond. He practically invented noding for A2!

I can probably answer a question or two if he’s busy, but I don’t have aim :(

Well, I followed MaP's hardpoint a node creating tutorial for MS3D and even though I have everything right, when I go to export the sod, I get a messages that says something about a nod not being set to a parent node. And it keeps saying this even thought I go through EACH joint I placed down and everything is correct in the hirearchy.

Hmm, well it may sound annoying, but I would delete the joint tree and start over. Correcting hierarchy isn’t possible as far as I can tell, so...

1. delete the root node and that should take care of all the other points. (if it does not this is a problem.) 2. now export the model to the sod file. 3. next, click Tools and then Assimsoft Hardpoints Tool. In the Import Harpoints... dialog box change the File Types drop menu to read Armada Model and select the sod you just exported.

Now the model should have a rudimentary set of joints. From here you can save your progress or whatever, but you can select h_hardpoints, for example, and then just add joints to it (for hps). I find this method much easier than creating a tree from scratch. Hope that helps!

Two things, first of all slider17's right - using the assimsoft hp tool is much quicker - i always use it. second, i get the parent node warning all the time - "cannot find parent", i ignore it and it doesn't seem to make a difference to the model so i leave it. i can't figure out why it pops up though. i'll leave that to someone with an intellect far greater than mine
