Well I've recieved permission to re-release Armada 2.5 by Draconis_Sharp and I'll be making a few changes. Just as a pre-warning, I will only be refining the Federation with the exception of finding textures for missing ships. Weapons: There will be "standard" weapons for the federation instead of weapons specific to each ship. Type IX phasers - Type XIV phasers, Photon, Quantum, and Tricobalt torpedoes and one type of pulse phaser. I am also considering giving Fed Ships canon numbers of weapons, acording to what is seen on-screen not said on-screen. However this is dependant on my being able to edit hardpoints correctly and the community's reaction. Techtree: I will be re-incorporating the techtree for the federation and will try to give them a ST vs SW techtree feel with having to research technologies shared by multiple ships. Ships: I will be adding a few ships to the Fed, mainly a poly reduced Luna class and my Pulsar class as soon as it gets textured. Latinum: I'm thinking of getting rid of "latinum" and replacing it with "reputation" or "credits", as a way to reduce the size of federation fleets while still allowing large ships to be built. Officers: I won't be changing build times much, but have changed Officer costs to what I feel are more canon figures. ALL of this will eventually lead to the incorporation of Star Wars Fleet: Command as a seperate release, add-on type of thing.

sounds super cool - one sticking point for me though - the swvst tech tree was a little too research heavy (imoho) - i mean lose a couple of research pods and all ur left with is a pointy rock tied to a stick - maybe water it down a little (but not too much, cos it adds a definite strategic edge to the game). But i would definately definately be downloading this:) also, if you want a hand with any modeling/texturing i would be glad to help?

A small number of ships are untextured (4-7), so tell me what you can do and I'll hook you up. I didn't plan in making it that research heavy, just the two research stations, 8 pods for the first and 6-8 for the second. I meant make it like SWFC in the fact that most of the research is of technologies that is shared by multiple ships i.e. Ablative armor, quantum torpedoes, auto-modulating shields, etc...

Hurry, no not so much, but technically I've been working on this for almost a year (had a few HD wipes+corrupted backup mod files) so I'd like to see it completed, even if I just get the Armada 2.5 re-release done and not the SW addon. Weapons have been changed on all Fed ships (I think I got them all :)) and they range from typeVIII-typeXIV phasers, phton, quantum, and tricobalt torpedoes, and then type U pulse phasers. Edit: Due to yet another hard disk crash, I have to start my re-release over... I will still try to "finish" my mod, but it may take some time...:mad:
