Does anyone have the experience to create a model for the New Battlestar Galactica ship, because that would be really awesome.

There's actually a model of the new BSG available for BC on BCFiles. Someone could just convert that over instead of doing a whole new mod.

The problem with BSG ships is, that they have so many details. You either need really good textures, or you have a lot of polys. I think the BSG ships for Bridge Commander have too many polys to run them in ArmadaII. I just downloaded the colonial movers ship from another website and I am trying to get the poly count down without loosing details, which is very difficult.

If you get permission from the oringinal maker then you could cut down on the poly count for conversion to A2

One thing that could be done to lower the poly count is to make the ribbing on the ship part of the textures, rather than part of the model. You'll be losing some quality, but it should help with the poly count.

Im sure that there is a way to keep most of the detail, after all Armada was originally rated to have more poly usage then SFC and I think possibly BC.... Im not to sure, if that doesnt work someone could always make one from scratch. I plan on making the Mark two, and possibly the Raider from the new series, but it all depends on time. I will keep everyone posted on my work if I started.
