Well kiddies. Time for the federation side to be finished up with, so heres some eyecandy final screenshots to pass the time away. Bare in mind that the Klingon side is still the stock models, and some of these images (as can be seen) still have the interface in them.
Also three of them are specifically to show the research techs for the three research stations I'm using.
Hmm... Two things, the sabre class looks a bit akward (nothing bad, but not the way I like it) plus the Titan and Excalibur class look a bit small. That may just be because of the perspective though.
Draconis. If you actually check the official canon images of the sabre you'll see my replacement is far more accurate than the original stock model.
As for the Titan and Excalibur. Its very difficult to estimate sizes of non-canon ships. Therefore the sizes may or may not be accurate. however, considering that aside from my own Excalibur there actually is only one other thats in current circulation and that model (whilst being a little more accurate to the original) is around 2 1/2 years old now.
Now that I think about it, I think that may be the same sabre that I use. As for ship sizes, I always go to the uss miranda database first.
USS Miranda isn't necessarily accurate in any way shape or form. As they are non-canon then its not necessary to have them accurate, only estimated.
Yes, I know that major payne, but I do go there first before I look for other ways to find the size of ships. Since many are non-canon ships I tend go with my own intentions or go with the best estimate for size. The number of crew members may help a little, but that can't always be accurate either.
All else I can say is that it would be nice if everyone knew the exact size of a ship and got it right the first time. It's too bad that it won't happen. If no one complains about a ship's size, then it must be fine. Actually, now that I think of it, escape pods that appear in a ship's textures sometimes help to scale a model.
Draconis. Perhaps you shouldnt' be so critical of whats posted. Instead of complaining, or trying to explain something perhaps you should just be happy that things are done and released.
Besides which and as far as I'm concerned, these are the sizes that will remain. Period. I'm sure that when you get your hands on the likes of the excalibur your likely to mess with the settings and sizes of it.
Hmm... I was being critical, but I was not trying to sway your intentions for your mod from what they are. I'm always critical, but these are just my opinions; if my tone came off as offensive, I did not mean to seem that way. As for being happy with what is released, I don't need nor want to be happy with something that is unsatisfactory to my tastes. Again, I didn't mean to sound harsh and I wasn't trying to say that you were doing a bad job. I just thought I would voice (or type... whatever, it doesn't really matter, now does it?) my opinions.
Nice screenshots, MaP! No reason to complain about them IMHO. I am looking forward to see more. :)
keep up the good work
