Okay so due to the current poll I posted on AFC, Species 8472 has been dropped from the project. Further to the poll results, it seems that not many people actually use 8472 anyway and also as many will know, the crashing bug with BI2 was never sorted out. Anyway, this is all thats left to do:

1) Replacement for Borg Diamond and Borg Unimatrix (I'm just not happy with the current versions). 2) AI recompilation. 3) Overall rebalancing. 4) Map units. 5) Additional maps.

Weapons ODF's have recently been finished and further testing is being done to complete the beta stage of the completed mod.

Maps I can do if help is needed. I think the reason people don't play 8472 (aside from the fact that they only show up for a few episodes in VOY) is that they don't have the ship variety that the others have. And what fun is it to play without a crew and have everything with the same officer cost?

Well, Species 8472 is true, hardly anyone uses them - Though, I think for Armada II was the lack of units and what not. However, could you not use a few 8472 units for Map Units? Anyhow, if no Species 8472, how about doing something that Activision should have done, and pop the Dominion in there? - These to be allied with the Breen and Son'a!? - These rather than the Cardassians. Either that, or you could simply leave the Breen & Son'a for map units.

That works, but did the Breen and Son'a really ever have anything to do with each other?

Please tell me you did not ask that..... Especially the part regarding the Breen. Did you not watch DS9? The Breen were a HUGE part of the Alliance, the Son'a were only mentioned here and there, though never (to my knowlege) seen.

I have not seen DS9 since its original run ended, sorry. Of course I remember the Breen, but since the Son'a were never seen, I don't remember it. I have to see a ship or see a race do something overt and important to remember them being somewhere.

Wasn't it in Insurrection itself? I think it was mentioned when Deanna and Riker were looking stuff up about them and they found that the Son'a made ketracel white for the dominion.

No, it was in a DS9 episode where it was mentioned that they were supplying it to the Dominion. If they'd been a part of the Dominion in Insurrection, surely Starfleet would been more cautious.
