I've downloaded the Borg Central Unicomplex (made by Yaccuza) However i thought it was rather small so i scaled it up (ScaleSod=5) But the shields of that thing are so ****ing huge no ship can get near the structure itself. How can i set the shieldsize? I tried the "big book of modding" but i couldnt find it. I also tried to contact Yaccuza but the e-mail adresses i found in the read-me file doesnt exist anymore...
Please help... (Or make an entirely new unicomplex:P)

I'm curious about the Shield size discrepancy of some models, myself. I've seen perfectly sized models with an oversized shield and selection bubble that's just soo annoying. My first thought is it's cause the shield node is set wrong, but I'm not sure. As I've not figured this out, can anyone suggest anything?
Indeed, The selection bubble, OK, but that shield, :mad: Shield node? Isnt there just an ODF command for that?
Shield node = a node set in the model to enable shields. As for what controls the shield bubble, I don't think it's an ODF command. I always thought it was automatically adjusted to each individual model. If that's not the case, anyone wanna tell us what does?
And the shield shape isnt even canon. I mean. there isnt that kind of shield around a unicomplex It isnt a bubble, but, well, a shield, like a layer of armor. But anyhow, i can only mod ODF files:( A new unicomplex would be nice as well... Anyone knows Yaccuza?

I think the shields are scalled automatically, but i also have models where the shields have strange settings and i didnt find out why...

Yeah, I know. Good mod but it only makes it invisible- it doesn't get rid of it. Am I right? You still select the object when you mouse over the selection area... which can make it really hard to select *selectively* if the model's selection area takes up the whole screen. Anyone know what I'm talking about? I still say it's got to be the placement of the nodes/joints/HPs making the game think the model's bigger than it really is.
