I want to know if there is a way to make a map object, like a moon, buildable with the construction ship.

As far as I know, I dont think you can. However, there are far more skilled coders on here than me who may have some ideas

I remember once seeing something about a buildable dilithium moon during a file trawl once. That may be a good place to start looking.

There's actualy a buildable planet on the site. I would advise starting there for something as an idea.

Yes, I have done it... it's very easy with a minor side effect.

I don't think you can build one straight up. I've built a mining station but swapped The freighterName = "xfreight" with freighterName = "mdmoon"

The side effect I mentioned is the mining station doesn't go away. Depending on the size you may or may not see it once the moon is there. If you click on the mining station, you can decomission it.

I've done Black holes (My little Omega effect mod) and moons. but in theory any map object should work. Also once it's there...it's there, it won't go away.
