How do I apply a bump map to a ship/station? I want to know this because I plan to release some of the ships/stations I have left over from Armada III, and a lot of the BC models have bumpmaps.

If you're going to start releasing BC models on a regular bases, I'd recommend you learn how to poly reduce, since a lot of BC models are too high for a lot of A2 players, and it makes using large fleets very difficult.

I think in Max youve only to apply the texture at the bumpmap location. If there is a way to use them in ms3d, I would be interested in the "How" too.

I could check the MS3D tutorial page.

No, there isn't anything on the Chumbalum site about bumpmapping.

Armada 2 is already setup to read bump maps, but because of the size of the ships relative to the scrren they may not be as affective at first glance as you like. To use them name the texture like so "yourtexturenamebump" example that you can find in your RGB directory is BassimilatorBump
