Hey all, is there any way to change the size of a planet? Do I have to do it in map editor, it's SOD or ODF? I almost have the perfect map but planet earth is just too damn small. Any help would be hot!

Well I'm at work now so I couldn't check for you, but I would have thought that it's similar to ships. Try finding / inserting 'ScaleSOD = (insert number here)' into the relevant .odf -- however, that'll stretch out the texture something wicked if you take it too far. You may have to play around with the number you insert; it can be pretty much trial and error if you don't have a specific figure to work to, i.e. with starships, you can extrapolate size via percentages, but with a planet, that could fill your entire map :p.

Thanx I'll have to try that. In fact that was my original thinking but I couldn't find any size values in any of the specific planet odf's nor in the "planet" odf. I'll try to insert the value. you would think they would have made this easier.

I'd start with just the number '1' and see how big that turns out, then raise or drop the number depending on what size you want it till you get the right one. Heh, at least you don't have to learn a whole new coding language to do it

It is in the planet ODF. Just use the "ScaleSOD = " command.

That process works fine. My planets are scaled to arounf 5 for more realism. There huge.
