I'm trying to make a probe weapon like in the FO mod but can't get the right classlabel that will work. Whenever I fire the weap I get the fire sound, but no weapon effect or sprite.

Try "probetorpedo" in the ordinance file, and "cannon" in the weapon file.

i've got a (possibly similar) probe problem. when i fire the probe, armada CTDs. i have the probe weapon installed properly, i het the button, and when i hit it, i get the special weapon courser. its when i click to launch it into space, then it CTDs.

Hmm, try setting the classlabel to "probetorpedo" in the probe.odf file (the base one). That should do it (I think)
