ok got the point, thats right, you cant kill what you cant see, a ship equipped with a cloak and able to fire while cloak is a hard enemy, couldnot say something against this, but what else is new ^^ first step hide, second step seek. dont know if thats right my english isn´t that good, be gentle.

good idear but i think modifie a nebula creator like the one used by the Behemoth is dificult, the weapon has to triggle while flying i mean combat it is possible but the point is that it is the same like the wave, it is a area in which you coulnot scan. i used such a nebula weapon to create a statik field to hide my fleet or a station, i did this becourse once etablated such a nebula could stay for a long time, not nessessary to waith until it is gone an then hit the button again. a wave wouldnot stay long just less then a second the time between the shots are short i thing thats better while combat.
I mean one that is constantly creating new ones only for a small amount of time, allowing the ship to fly through it... hard to get the timing right I reckon.
sounds good, worth to try but as i said it sounds like its the same effect as the wave weapon but i´m not shure. the problem is that this effect not just block enemy sensors, it also makes the ship invisible to the enemy but this nebula weapon could be the solve of this problem as fahr as i know ships which are cloaked become more ore less visible inside of for example a fluidic nebula. if i get my wave cloak work correctly a nebula creator could act as a tachion grid to my weapon.
the major problem is that my skills in changing things are more or less basic, and maybe i misunderstood the effects of some weapons.
If you made it a 'flying nebula' then is that not precisely what it would be? If it was shielded by a small nebula, you still see a floating cloud racing around the screen lol. Also the nebula used by the behomoth doesn't move with the ship. The only ship I've seen that can carry nebulae around was the 3rd Space ship from the B5 mod, thats the only ship that I've saw anyways lol. And still assuming that this is Battlestar :D, the stealth viper/stealthstar only had minimal weapons, to avoid detection. Guns sticking out can be picked up by any radar, its still a concept used today. Everything on a stealth plane has to be angled or smooth, so the radar waves bounce off. I'd say jus fiddle about with the cloak transparency thing, try to find out in that. It'd look best in my opinion :p
Even if it appears transparent, it's only meant to be representative anyways, I mean, cloaked ships are invisble, but in game they are transparent.
I know spit about A2, just a basic amount. A1 is more of my specialty area and i might be able to make something like that and then have you convert it to A2. I've actually been working on a weapon that creates a temporary nebula for a short persiod of time a ship can hide in. By making the nebula transparent you wouldn't see the nebula either. Just pray the enemy doesn't stumble into the nebula, lol
problem again is the nebula can't move so the ship has to keep using the weapon leaving a long trail of invisible hiding places.
Actually AdmiralRyan, theres one ship that was able to carry a nebula about. You all seemed to ignore it :p The 3rd Space Battlecruiser from the Babylon 5 mod. It has a nice, shiny blue nebula in its rear. lol And I forgot you could make the nebula invisible too.¬¬ lol
