Ok i think most of you have noticed it already, my constitution class isn't that good. Although the poly count is high, there are mesh errors and the saucer is simply wrong. When i created that ship i wasn't able to do it better, but i am now, so i decided to improve this ship.
The following pictures show the new mesh in comparison with the old one. My next step is improving the textures, because im pretty sure that i can beat my old texes. At the moment there are some texture coordinate mistakes, but ill fix them when i create the new textures.
Please let me know if you are of the opinion that there is still something missing or wrong with the mesh.

sorry what error? I did not notice any problems with the 3d borg textures. Do you have a screenshot of that error?
the only question i have is, why do you make such high detailed TOS Nacelles with many polys and the saucer is still not round enough and the models is to high poly ???
Very nice stuff Fahres, one thing you notice once you make this old lady is that it's a lot harder than it looks, has curves and details you would have never imagined!
oh my fahreS this is suffering on a VERY high level. most of the pics are like a hidden picture puzzle. ;-)
@Terradyhne Because of the big radius of the saucer, a much higher poly amount is needed to create a round saucer as to create round engines. Both engines of the new version together have a lower poly count than the saucer. Maybe you can do it better, but imo its good balanced. And why do I create high poly models? I want as much details as possible on this ship, but i know that its not for legacy. So ive a little problem here and I decided to create a ship which is supported by A2 but not in a high amount of fleets. This new version crosses the 3k poly line and i know thats too much, therefore ill work on a poly reduced version too, which should look better than my old one but with a lower poly count.

Wow! I wouldn't worry about the pollies too much. Average computers today can handle that as long the textures aren't beasts (1024s or bigger).

You just keep on doing things the way you do them, mate. I've never yet been disappointed by any aspect of anything you've shared with us. I do not expect this one will be any different in that regards. I am not at all concerned with a high poly count in the initial model because I know you will do everything you can to reduce it to a manageable level. The painstaking attention to detail and level of excellence you put into all your public releases means at the end of this project everyone will have a "Wow!" version of the Connie which will not lag their computer. Thank you for making a new version of a great lady.
