My uncle has a steel recreation of one of the original Bback Daleks. It even has a speaker that transforms your voice into a Dalek voice and the Dalek is full size too.

I have seen a full size recreation of a Dalek once, remote controlled to.

It was at a Robot Wars like event called Robot Rumble, and they had the Dalek and a few other things like it keeping the audience amused between fights in the arena. This Dalek was chasing the kids around who had no idea what a Dalek was (this was before Dr Who returned to TV) calling "exterminate. EXTERMINATE!!!". It also had a compressed gas thing where the gun was that looked like the original one from the films so it was chasing them around shooting at them which was great.

The best bit was when 20 odd kids went after it, and watching it standing there calling out "STAY WHERE YOU ARE. EXTERMINATE!!" as it was getting mobbed by kids that were using it as a climbing frame. The orginisers actually had to come and rescue the poor thing eventually.

 I wish I had of taken a camera, that was just great.

Anyway, good luck on the Dalek! It will be quite interesting to see it finished!
