I have searched the forum for this, but have not found it.

When you capture a enemy ship, is their a way to have it sneak up on the enemy without them knowing that the ship is no longer in their possession? If they where to select it, they would know its no longer under thir command, due to the command buttons not appearing for them. If they simply see the ship, but dont select it, it appears to be theirs. Kinda like the Incursion SW.

I don't think there is, not for what you're looking for. An AI player would attack it on sight, the only chance you'd have is when playing against a human player who wasn't aware they'd lost one of their ships, or if you edit the holo-image special weapon found on the Incursion.

The moment you capture an enemy ship, it instantaneously becomes a starship of your race, and the game recognizes it as such. That's not something we can change in the source code.

Best bet is to use the Incursion special on a derelict or otherwise immobile (and preferably weapons-disabled) vessel of the enemy's. Then you can sneak.

Even the best sneaking with this particular weapon is not guaranteed, however.
