file name fconst3.zip is in the process of being uploaded, i ran out of room modding and needed a new construction ship who knew, so if your like me its time for another ship. This is only a re-write nothing fancy just a standard const, ship. I will also do one for each race just in case! not sure how to do the build buttons on the const. ship, the other i just used a ship button that was close in looks. If you know how to fix that please let me know thanks-

My other ship is already posted at file front Federation"Mark 47 Probe" Phased cloaked of course. enjoy!

archerscottWill it be like a standard construction ship both in looks and everything?[/quote]Yes it's a Standard Construction Ship for Armada 2, no changes to design or equipment just an extra constructon ship. but feel free to change or modify it as you like. you will have to make a build button i don't know how to do that yet., right now its a whits square ? but works. The ship is the same image as original. File front's upload is under maintenance so as soon as there done i will upload, tried to last night but was unable. Yeah I got it. This is a good idea and I think everyone should have a spare construction ship.

I usually find if you keep the first one buidling everything original then the AI will still play okay but ignore all new items.

The starbases don't even build any new construction ships (unless you tweak it but as I'm finding out that is hit and miss!)

The only change I made was to give it warp power - I hate waiting ages for those ships to get to places!! Although they are not as slow as the Mothership of 8472! :mad:

Couldn't agree more funny you should say last night i was playing 8472 just to see what the ships are like?, the mother ship needs a kick in the tail pipe, ihave kept my original constrution ship free of new mods as well, i think it does run better. Try adding Phased Cloak to your construction ships, that will speed them up on a straight line of course and you wont have to worry about being attacked, that is until you decloak. I have made only one change so far the names of the const, ship : //Possible Craft Names possibleCraftNames = "USS Spock" "USS Picard" "USS Riker" "USS Scott" "USS Kirk" "USS Sulu" "USS O'Brian" "USS Bashir" "USS LaForge" "USS Crusher" "USS Roddenberry" i will add more later just for a laugh! The only problem i am having is the build buttons can't figure them out talk about trial and error, some re-write mods show them and some do not? let me know if you know how to fix that, its the little things that bug me. hahaha Edit: Here's an update for fconst3, found the problem with the build button go to Textures/RGB find the file gbfonst, and make a copy of that file rename it gbfconst3 that's it. Ok, you don't need to make a seperate thread on each and every release of yours. It isn't required ok? I've merged all three of your threads, along with double-bumped posts. Please think about what you are doing where your posts and such as concerned. I'm getting a little annoyed with this. I've also moved this thread to the "Modding & Editing" section.

Hmm, wouldn't the line(i have a1 btw)baseName = "bconst" make the new ship use all of bconst's stuff(textures, sods, wireframes)? also, if you used the line(again in a1, not sure about a2) #include "bconst.odf" make it include all of bconst's stats unless specifically stated?(in other words you'd only have to put in the build list i think, and put = ""s to override any blank spots on yours that bconst actually has something in?)
