After a few changes within the project, is seems that I am once again sorting out the Federation ships for Zero Hour. I'm allowing a maximum of twelve ships for game use (those than can be researched, and built etc), and up to an additional twelve for map usage (though of course, once downloaded, this could be edited to the players content). Anyway, at present, I have the following Federation ships for Zero Hour: - Constitution Class - Miranda Class - Constellation Class - Excelsior Class - Excelsior Class (Refit) - Ambassador Class - Galaxy Class - Nebula Class (Sensor Pod Variant) - Nebula Class (Weapons Pod Variant) - New Orleans Class - Defiant Class - Intrepid Class - Sabre Class - Steamrunner Class - Norway Class - Akira Class - Prometheus Class - Achilles Class - Sovereign Class - Luna Class Now that the MVAM code has been figured out, I felt the Prometheus should be included. I'll have to have a closer look at what is involved though, as if it breaks the rules (so to speak) then I wont be including it, at least not on a Public level. The New Orleans also I felt the need to add back in. Anyway, on a general note, can anyone think of any other Federation ships that they'd like to see in this project, be it TMP, TNG or Post-NEM. In addition to the time periods, I'm not too fussed about these ships being canon or not. If anyone has any suggestions for any ships, canon or non-canon, please do bring your case forward. You never know, that very ship might just be included. I'd ask though, anyone with any suggestions actually say why you'd like to see a certain ship included. If it isn't 'canon' (like we know it) then I'll be needing a screenshot or two. If you can't provide the screenshots and a reason for your choice, then don't bother leaving your suggestion, I wont be taking any notice. That'll be all.

I like the Oberth. Only reason is I think it's a beautiful design and I associate it with the early canonical Star Trek.

What about the Nova all fleet need a scout after all and the Centur would be in keeping with the other tmp ships you could also take a look at the TMP ships in Star Fleet Command EAW
As HMS says, SFC has a good selection of TMP Ships. I think for balancing, a lighter TMP ship might be needed, and I would suggest the Akula Class Refit.

Let's see, it would be nice to add the Courageous and Apollo Class, I've always been a fan of those non-canon designs.

Ahhhh sounds very promising. We get a screenie of the Luna class? Would love to see her.

If so, then it doesn't stand a chance :p [quote=jetfreak;4033851]Let's see, it would be nice to add the Courageous and Apollo Class, I've always been a fan of those non-canon designs.
If only people kept up to date with this project..... http://forums.filefront.com/st-a2-modding-editing/239558-star-trek-armada-ii-zero-hour-31.html Please see: http://forums.filefront.com/4025763-post459.html Anyway, there is a larger debate about this on the MSFC Thread: Starships - Federation - Majestic Sci-Fi Central Forums - If anyone cares to join in...
Squire James;4036642The Akula has two nacelles.Spoiler: Show
Hmm... I don't know what ship I was thinking of then. Regardless, I dislike this design, for the pure reason that the nacelles just don't look right. It reminds me of one of them 'cheap' kitbashes. Anyhow, over on MSFC I said that by next Saturday (the 24th) I would be stating my Federation Fleet down, and what I put down will not change. Seems I'm ahead of schedule on that, as I've decided on some yesterday / today. I'd like to point out though, that I only really want eighteen (18) ships to be released in this first instalment. I can then add on another 6 at a later date (that being an expansion). I don't want to cram ZH full with loads of Federation ships, I've no intention of making Ghosts Completion MOD MK II. I stated near the beginning of this project, that no side was going to have more than 24 ships. As I am including 18 in the initial release, I've six spaces left for the expansion pack, which will hopefully be including the Sheliak and Tzenkethi. Depending on those requests I get after the initial release, will depend upon what ships go in the expansion. Save on the extra work. Anyway, out of those 18 ships... I've currently got 17. - Constitution Class Refit - Miranda Class - Constellation Class - Excelsior Class - Excelsior Class Refit - Ambassador Class - Galaxy Class - Nebula Class (SP) - Sensor Pod Variant - Nebula Class (WP) - Weapon Pod Variant - Nebula Class (NV) - Twin-Nacelle Variant - Defiant Class - Sabre Class - Steamrunner Class - Norway Class - Akira Class - Prometheus Class - Achilles Class Now, a few things to note... Firstly, the Nebula Class(es) will be for map use only (unless you modify your tech / build tree), in addition to them, you'll have the TMP ships (Constitution & Miranda) for map use only. I'm not yet decided on whether to have the Constellation as playable, or non-playable as of yet. The second thing to note, is that the Prometheus is only going to be included if the Fleet Operations patch for her, is within the general community ruling. If it isn't, then it'll be removed from the public project, and replaced with something else. The third note would be that I am well aware I've missed out a few key ships. The Intrepid & Sovereign to name the obvious, have not been included. Quite simply, I'm not too fond of the Intrepid, never really did like the design, and Voyager made her this 'uber' ship, and I didn't like it for that. As for the Sovereign, I'm simply not too sure about her at this stage. With that in mind, I am in need of an 18th ship. Possibly one of those that I have missed out, or something totally new. Whichever the case is, I am in need of one (I plan to release this with 18 Federation ships), so I need one more. Also, on a final note, and getting back to the Prometheus, any ideas as to what her replacement could be would also be welcomed. Please feel free to share your thoughts, opinions and such on the matter. :)
Well ordinarily the top nacelle isn't inverted, it just seems the maker of this schematic got lazy and just mirrored the bottom nacelle. There are several Akula models out there for A2 on A2files. Have a butchers, see if they grab you. If not, well, I can suggest the Okinawa Class Frigate... :) EDIT: noticed the schematic also has mirrored torpedo tubes. Tut tut, the Akula has her torpedo tubes on the bottom nacelle pylon only. I'll try and find a better picture. Apparently, (i've never played Legacy so I wouldn't know) the Apollo Class Refit in Legacy is infact the Akula Class Refit. Often people refer to the Akula Refit as just the Akula, I suppose in the same way as they call the Constitution Refit just Constitution. However, the original Akula was a TOS styled vessel.
