Well considering that the models are from BC I'm not surprised they look better than armada's. Just a shame that its not being developed any longer.

Most of my model's for Armada 2 are also from BC.. most if not all are 4000+... but i am not just speaking of the model's .. but the overall game play.. you are a modder your self ..what's your say on this.. is it possible to port some ...features onto armada 2..?

uhh..I am going to ask one more time.. did any one bother to play the game?

Well. Looking over it I would say that whilst its a massive shame the game wasn't finished I'm going to hazard a guess it uses some of the source code behind Homeworld (which was released). It has some excellent visuals and I do believe that if a programming team could actually continue and finish developement then this could be some sort of high detailed trek based game. It has some very smooth gameplay (although I wasn't very happy with the game controls. Mouse select and movement would have been much better), and very little lag. Good visual on the warp movement and combat with the defiant class was very good to see. My biggest gripe is definately the key setup as I was never happy with HW/HW2's method of play. The map size is a definate bonus (talk about real time space exploration!!).

Played it, and like Major had the same flaws... If I knew the level of C++ coding, then I would ask Mark (if Im correct in assuming he is the creator of this) for the game files and I would finish it with more of a feel or Armada 2, with the heavier models of BC, Perhaps the SNS Galaxy and what not, but being that I know very little of that level of coding, I cant, but maybe someday in the future. Very fluid, but I have never played homeworld so I didnt know the controls, so the next time I play Im going to have to write down the commands.

Yeah.. it's a shame he did'nt finish it.., perhap's this was done ..just so for his resume, who know's maybe someone will finish it.. I had heard a few week's ago of Armada 2's source code release.. we can only hope..

This game seems pretty good though I haven't played it much. On the start of the campaign where you have klingon bops attacking the shipyards at mars I couldn't find mars! I visted venus and mercuary twice, jupiter and discovered a new planet for the solar system (well it seemed like a new one, or I just found mercuary again) before I found mars!

The control's arent that difficult.. once you get use to them.., Pressing CAPS LOCK will bring up the main map.., and enemy vessel's shop up in RED..

For some reason Armada 2 eat's up more computer resources then this.. cant help but think... this guy should've been incharge of making armada 2..

The problem with ANY game is that the dev team aren't the ones who are calling the shots. I've always been of the mind, that if a publisher (who are the ones who both pay and direct the dev team on what they should be adding), was to actually let the dev team build the games the way the dev team wanted to you would probably see far greater in the way of good, solid released games and not something thats put together in five minutes, just because it provides money.

Its also a huge shame that this particular game wasn't finished or at least had a skirmish mode built in :(
