I dont know his weapon but i found out that you cant upgrade stations as long as the game forbid them to move.

the only way that i know to go around this problem is deleting the following entry from the station.odf

is_starbase = 1

is "earth" #including station.odf or #including planet.odf?

The station technically does need to move to a "fusion point," but its pretty much right in the middle of the station itself, so movement isnt the problem.

for the sake of this mod "earth1" and "earth2" are stations, I wanted to create the feel that your home planet could be destroyed ....

Well i made a fusing station and the game crashed because of this little movement. And the game also crashed as i reduced the fusing movement to zero.
