hey, adam i gotta Q about FT.
For the special effects like saucer separation and such; are you doing a complete rewrite of the game's hardcode to do those? Or is it just alot of messing around in the sprites?
I guess what i really want to know is if the ships in FT will be compatible (for the most part) with standard A1.
No DLL or EXE has been edited.
Future Tense ships 'may' be compatible with standard Armada, but may cause problems when u lose shields as you can scar ships in FT by putting holes in them lol You'd have to transfer the FT sprite files to support them in normal Armada else stuff like animating Bussards, opening Scimitar wings and other features wont work and will either not show up or force you to say hello to your desktop. When the 10 Week Countdown starts, each Monday, a 'viewer favourite' will be release without the FT code to allow general use in Armada 1 and 2 :)
- Oh and the Serperation is pyhsical, once the ship's seperated the stardrive and sacuer become self contained vessels (or you can have them keep connected and enjoy a ship with 12 special weapons :P

Could you enlighten me as to how the saucer separation is done (in full detail). It is a very intriguing element to me...
