I want to announce a new mod which will be only available in german localization. It is now in Beta3-state and it´s time to give it a wider spread to wipe out bugs and problems. The mod wasn´t meant to be published first, but I think the community can get some new ideas from it. It is playing in the DS9 timeline, but the war isn´t over yet. To come to the current state. I worked very hard on it for more then one year now. All was beginning with a compilation I found somewhere, so I couldn´t investigate exactly who to give credits for some components. The main idea was to have a great visual quality when playing in 3D and to become more canon in most cases.
Features: - completely new rewritten racespecific AI, that means every Race has it´s own personality and behaviour. - nearly all SODs of ships and bases are completely reworked, they have better hardpoint-accuracy, corrected textures and more - many new HQ-soundsamples and stereoeffects for weapons - more realistic and canon fireArcs, weapontextures and special weapons - new damage- and hitsystem for more realism - off course correct scaling of ships and stations - new GUI and Buttons for all races, very good LCARS system for the federation - Dominion race - new physics, ship-based not class-based like before. - introducing the Cardassian Orbital Defense Plattform moveable in 3 axis and automatically aiming at the targets! - most textures in high detail and precision - a new working MVAM for the Prometheus, but still in 2 steps. and it can´t be used by the AI. - some new functions I found in the gamecode, which weren´t used until now. and much more... There are some things to be aware of, before playing this mod. It is still very beta but fully functional and you will have to forget your used gameplay, but you will get many new aspects and ideas of what can be done with Armada2. It is optimized for large maps above 30000x30000, so smaller and original maps can cause some problems. I recommend to play the two included maps, Gamma Quadrant and DS9. Because of the new AI and DS9-based gameplay, I recommend to play with Federation/Klingons/Romulans against Cardassians/Dominion to get the best results. The Borg and Species are still in the game but can´t be used, because they aren´t integrated in the new AI and will cause the game to crash.
The size of the mod is 238 MB and all documentation and so on is in german only. Sorry, but I only have the german game and soundsamples.

It sounds good, but I'd like to see a snapshot in order to determine its graphical quality. Actually, several snapshots would be better.
by documentation do u mean the whole game is in germen or just like the readme and stuff like that
Hi, the whole game is in german, not only the documentation.
The mod can be applied to any version of A2, but some voices and the tooltips and gui will be in german after the installation. Didn´t check this, but it should work.

It looks ok, but not great. The change of the HUD was a good thing though. Some people might like that look if they like the computer panels on the tv series. I don't see any new ships or stations, but if you could show some that have never been seen on armada2files, people might be more likely to want to try it.
Sorry, you don´t like it. But the screenshots do show some things, which are not available. The Card-Station, the Breenship and the other Card-Station, which is my Dombase, are Conversions from BC and SFC I made. Ok, another Cardassian heavy Starbase has been published a few days ago and it is great work. I´ve been to late to publish mine.
Nearly all models in this mod have been modified and reconverted, there were many little things to improve, Hardpoints, Textures, Mapping, Meshproblems and so on. But is a good mod only depending on the used models? In my opinion there are more criterias to check. I can´t and don´t want to mess with FleetOps or Tense, these are outstanding. I just want to share some of my ideas with the A2 community, that´s all ;-)
