So I took someone's model and wanted to color in the nacells of a dominion battleship. I saved the file in the same name as it was named. but when I went to go to storm 3D the textures didn't show up and it was just a blank sod. What could I of possible done wrong?

did you put the new texture files into the RGB folder? i know sounds basic but ive made the mistake a few times

I did. I know I've made the same mistake too. sometimes when you are modding for hours you forget the most simple things, but I defintely put the tga's in the right folder. it comes in two files, so the sod read the first tga but not the second tga, so when it read the first tga like 10 percent of the sod had and textures on it.

Make sure you saved the texture in the uncompressed .tga format. The Storm engine doesn't support the compressed version and acts like the file doesn't exist at all when it tries to access a compressed .tga.

ok it's been about two years since I've used gimp, how do I uncompress it?

It might also be model-related. Just guessing... All of the problems I've had with textures not showing up have been model issues.

If you are using models and textures for A1, try remaaping/reassinging them using the Storm 3D tool for A1. Just remember to save it when you're done. I have had some success with this method.

I have no clue how to do that. I'm a very simple modder.
