I've been working on a personal wishlist mod for awhile, which began with Ghost's Compilation Mod. He's using color wireframes in his. I used to know how to create my own wireframes, working in channels in Adobe Photoshop... but when I tried again recently, I got crashes or really jagged graphics. Somewhere, I am missing a crucial step.

Does anyone know of a good guide to making color wireframes, where the instructions are compatible with Adobe Photoshop CS2 9.0.2? I know how to get screen shots, and I can create buttons, but I just can't seem to get the wireframes to work.

color wireframes are the same as non-color once except you don't grey scale the image of the ship you use.

Sorry to nick this but its along the same topic. Im trying to create wireframes like those in fleetops, where the system symbol flashes when its disabled. is there any way of doing it without doing the funny LCARS thing they have in the federation sprite? if not, how do i create the LCARS thing to use. its for my personal use only so im allowed to "borrow" it if i read the fleetops readme correctly.

any help would be appreciated, delta_dids

Not trouble-- and that's a brilliant idea about the symbol! *steal*

well im using the standard system status images on the wireframes, i just need to put the ship behind (or infront) or the wireframes without having it flashing

Lol, I do it in my mod, you can't have it so that the ship doesn't flash, I personally use the ship image to represent the life support system, the frame around it is the shields, and then I have images for engines, weapons and sensors.

Can you show us how you did it?

I'm seriously tempted to create wireframes for every ship in my personal mod that work just like this!

Or, if you're taking requests for a pack...

I'd say this requires alot of gui_global work on the wireframes section, and a lot of notetaking on the dimensions of each part of the image ;)
