Right, well I've done my research and carried out the experiment and it worked...with a few fine tweakings. In the atached rar file is:

-3 jpg pic's showing how it was done. -The two odf files at hand (these are not stock ships or weapon files, but can be adapted for use in other ships). -A readme with further info. -The "variant" tutorial above" It's a lil bit difficult to explain how to do the evolve/refit, but you should be able to pick it up from the odf files. On another note, you do not need the animation at all, however even if the refit has say a 10 second build time, the ship would just sit there and change automatically, no animation, nothing. I just looked at your screens again (the kombi class looks good, care to upload it?) , and i've seen that the ship's name isn't changing, wich is rather, sad, because that's what my ship history is all about.

Ship's name isn't changing? Would you care to elbaorate on that one, And the Kombi class is not mine, its Atlantis's work, so I won't upload it for him, if you really want it, go to armadafleetcommand and type in kombi...

if you having the evolve time as 0 perhaps it would be better to use the fusion special as it can be set to use one ship. check my loknar class.

take the .sod, make a special Sprite node that rotates its apearance every oh 9999 seconds, add it to the sop of the ship (make sure you remove the registry from the textures) and build it.

(add the Animation = 1 to odf)
